  • OWF IS TRANSFORMING SANITARY FACILITIES IN TANZANIAN SCHOOLS

    In addition to educating children, schools also have to provide cozy, safe and clean environment for students during school hours. They have to be provided with good examples and hygienic conditions so they can learn how to stay healthy and look after themselves.   • OWF PROVIDES INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR CAMEROONIAN ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

    Following our successful campaigns at two educational centers in Uganda, OWF has provided computers and educational support to another center - this time in Cameroon. OneWorld Foundation will support the work of the Community Relief and Development Action Organization (COREDA).  The project aims to reduce the gap in digital literacy between Cameroonian students and their European counterparts.   • OWF HAS ALLOCATED 10 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NEPALESE STUDENTS

    OneWorld Foundation has distributed scholarships to 10 children from Nepal through its local partnership organization. Our friends from the Sairam Foundation have appointed local Nepalese and Indian students and volunteers as coordinators and supervisors. Their tasks involve the choosing of recipients, keeping in touch with the sponsored children and their families, supporting the families involved, monitoring the development of the children and reporting to the Foundation regularly.   • OWF IS SAVING CHILD BEGGARS ON THE STREETS OF GEORGIA

    There are more than 2000 street children in Georgia, 30% of which are ethnic Roma and another 25% are migrants from Azerbaijan. Most of these children are begging on the streets of Tiblisi and Kutaisi which is the second largest city in Georgia.   • OWF IS IMPROVING LITERACY PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS

    OWF funded yet another project in Uganda focused on building a comprehensive support system for students by ensuring access to learning materials, providing sponsorship to orphans and children from vulnerable groups, organizing student tutoring classes and parent-teachers meetings.     As you can remember at the beginning of this year, OWF facilitated the opening and mainaining of 6 contact points at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, India for reaching out to children on the street, who have started working at a very young age, supporting them to continue with their education.   • OWF SURPRISED UGANDAN ORPHANS ON EASTER!

    OWF receives dozens of requests for support on a daily basis and we try to provide assistance where it is most needed. This was the case with the Chrystal Children's Center in Kampala, Uganda. The center takes care of 30 orphans by providing them with a loving home where they grow and learn.  When we got in touch with them, they were struggling trying to meet the children's basic needs for food and medicine.     Easter, the most holy of all Christian holidays, was also celebrated by the OneWorld Foundation Team with another good deed. The OWF surprised 30 children in need from Bulgaria (a country situated in south-eastern Europe) with a precious gift. OWF equipped their kindergarden with modern and interactive facilities, so the little ones can be educated according to the Montessori method which implements the self-learning approach.   • OWF PREVENTS CHILD LABOUR IN BANGLADESH

    Bangladesh is one of the countries with the highest number of child laborers. It is estimated that there are 4.7 million child workers, among which 12.6% are aged between 5 to 14, working up to twelve hours a day. It is common for children to be paid less than adults, while preventing them from attending school, trapping them into what is perceived to be modern slavery.
